In this group, we read with the women ten pages of an easy Finnish reading book that we have determined to improve our Finnish language knowledge. If the participants feel comfortable in this regard, they read a page and translate the page into Turkish. While translating, we both learn the exact Turkish equivalents of Finnish words, and we try to learn by discussing the points we do not understand from the applied grammar rules. Each week, the words of the previous week and the pages we will read next week are sent to the participants via email. After finishing the book “Yösyöttö” written by Eve Hietamies, we continue with the book “Tarhapäivä”, which is the continuation of this book. The main purpose of the reading group is to support women in language learning by supporting them to use the language aloud.
