The importance of knowing English in order to get a job or get a higher education in Finland is an undeniable fact. For this reason, it is an activity to encourage women, who previously knew English at intermediate level in general but would almost forget English because they did not have the chance to practice it, to speak English in public. Pre-prepared speech topics and questions are sent to the participants via email, so that the participants become familiar with the subject. The prepared questions are generally compiled from the questions that come up in the speaking part of the English language exams, as well as the questions that we come across in daily life. We try to create an environment to support the development of women’s language level without being judged.
